Du Bois
Lodge is a delightful thatched Lodge with comfortable accommodation situated
in a 3000 HA Reserve adjoining the Kruger National Park (KNP) on the southern
border (Crocodile River). 15 minutes drive from the Crocodile Bridge Entrance
Gate there is easy access to the KNP although the Reserve itself is home
to a wide variety of game and you can enjoy the sight of many of these
roaming around the Lodge!
A splash
pool provides refreshing relief during the warmer summer months.
Enjoy
a braai around the fire at night while listening to the sounds of the bush
- a lion’s roar or hyena call and the grunting of hippo in the river!

Facilities
& Activities In & Around the Reserve:
The
Reserve has a shop stocking groceries, firewood & charcoal, ice, curios
& which also provides freshly baked bread & rolls daily.
A Shell Fuel station caters for both petrol & diesel vehicles.
A bottle store, laundromat, information centre & a small nursery are
also found in the Reserve.
Tennis,
volleyball & a swimming pool can all be enjoyed at the Club House (an
entrance fee is payable). Braai facilities are also available.
There
is a Lookout Point overlooking the Crocodile River & Kruger National
Park, which is a great spot to watch the sunset from at the end of the
day!

| Lionspruit
is a game reserve home to most animals other than elephant. It is
located within the Reserve (an entrance fee is payable)!
Game
drives, night drives, golf nearby & a birdwatchers paradise! Close
enough to Swaziland, Mocambique & the Panorama for day trips! Airport
transfers are available to & from the Lodge.

Lodge can accommodate 10 persons. There are 5 en-suite air-conditioned
rooms with bedding & towels.
The
Lodge functions as a self-catering facility with a communal kitchen which
is fully equipped. Should you not want to cater for yourself, you
can enjoy a pub lunch or a meal at one of the Reserve’s Restaurants!

Visit
Matsamo Cultural Village - enjoy a guided tour through a Swazi Village
to learn about Swazi cultures & traditions practiced as part of a well
preserved heritage. Ritual Swazi dances & songs are performed
at the beat of African drums. Guests can enjoy something cold from
a well stocked bar. The Village is set in very scenic surroundings.
It has a great Arts & Crafts Centre and its buffet restaurant boasts

Matsamo
Cultural Village is situated on the Jeppes Reef Border Post between SA
& Swaziland (no passport is required).

a Swazi Cultural Village for a tour & performance. Continue after
breakfast to Ngwenya Glass (handmade glass factory). Mantenga Craft
Market boasts pots, garments, leather, silver, curios & artwork.
Gone Rural offers exclusive rural handcraft / weaving. Lunch at a
local restaurant and then continue to Swazi Candles where you can watch
the creation process and meet the artisans. A passport is required!

at a local coffee shop. Visit the Botanical Gardens, Catholic Cathedral,
Iron House, Fort & Train Station. Buy curios at the Woodcraft
Market (only on Saturdays) or vendors along the way. Stop at the
Fresh Produce & Fish Market. Visit the renowned Polana Hotel
and then enjoy lunch at Costa Do Sol (beachfront restaurant). An
Ocean Drive ends a perfect day!

can be obtained either at the border post or Mocambique Consulate/Embassy.

Take
the N12/N4 from Johannesburg/Pretoria – past Witbank, Belfast,
and Machadodorp to Nelspruit. Pass through Nelspruit to Malelane
and then past Hectorspruit. Approximately 12km from Hectorspruit
turn left onto gravel road towards Marloth Park. Enter Marloth Park
after approximately 5km on the gravel road.
Once
in the Reserve, travel about 8 km along the main tar road (Olifants Drive)
past Bush Centre and Marlothi Trading Post until you turn left into Waterpeer
Street. At T-junction right into Raasblaar. At T-junction left
into Seekoei and then first left into Eland. Du Bois Lodge is situated
about 200m into Eland Street on the left. |

Crocodile Bridge Entrance Gate (KNP) continue along road towards
Komatipoort (about 3 km) & turn right at the Marloth Park turnoff (gravel
road). Continue along gravel road past Ngwenya Lodge until you reach
a T-junction. Right at T-junction and continue until you reach the
Marloth Park entrance.
Once
in the Reserve, travel along the main tar road (Olifants Drive) (about
4 km) until you turn right into Waterpeert Street. At T-junction
right into Raasblaar. At T-junction left into Seekoei and then first
left into Eland. Du Bois Lodge is situated about 200m into Eland
Street on the left.
