A
short walk through pathways brings you to the Central lodge area where
you will find the refreshing swimming pool and tree-house pub and breakfast
verandah built up in the tree tops. You may wish to sit quietly in the
thatched, open lounge which overlooks the river, spotting any animals that
may be passing, or just watch birds going about their business whilst you
become attuned to the sounds of the bush.
For
the perfect end to an exciting & fascinating day join us for dinner
around the fire in our traditional boma. You may hear the call of hyena
& lions as they communicate their intentions to one another while you
catch up on the day's events.
This
is Gwalagwala, a place of freedom and peace. |

| Gwalagwala
is a small, intimate safari lodge offering luxury tented camp accommodation.
Built to host a maximum of 12 people (6 tents), the individually named
units nestle discretely under a canopy of trees in the natural bush to
ensure solitude and privacy.
Each
tent is built on a wooden platform raised in the trees on sturdy stilts.
The game lodge is fully electrified & all tents have their own en suite
bathroom & private deck. You have a choice of twin or queen sized beds.
All bedrooms are fully insect proofed as we are situated in a low risk
malaria area.
We
have spared no effort to ensure great comfort. The tents are all equipped
with fans for the warm summer days & heaters & electric blankets
for those chilly winter nights so that at all times you enjoy a comfortable
temperature in your room. We also provide tea/coffee facilities, hair dryer,
international plug & fridge in each unit to add to your comfort.
